Karen's Bio

Clowning by Karen, blends her love of children and laughter to delight kids of all ages. It is her life’s work. How did Karen discover her true calling?

On a whim, she attended a clowning class offered by the Pickle Family Circus. She was hooked. Later, when the "Greatest Show on Earth" came to town, Karen auditioned-and was accepted-at the world famous Ringling Brothers Clown College. Here, as a clown-in-training, Karen set out to learn her chosen trade - making others laugh!

During her eight years clowning around the globe with  Ringling Brother's Barnum & Bailey  Circus, Karen brought laughter into the lives of millions. She has appeared on the CBS Circus Specials, Today Show, Good Morning America and Entertainment Tonight. Also, check out Disney's 'Let's Go to the Circus' Sing-a-Long Video (that's Karen on the cover!).

Look for Karen's face in the traveling museum exhibit "Circus Magicus".

Karen has created several one-woman stage shows, teaches children’s clowning workshops, and performs at parties. Karen is also available as roaming entertainment at fairs and festivals or for face painting and balloon animals.

Denver Public Schools, Littleton Historic Museum, Smokebrush Theater, Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, Taste of Colorado, Denver's Performing Art Festival, Children's Museum and the Denver Public Libraries are among Karen’s clients.
